As you’ve probably heard us say before, “Thank You” emails are one of the easiest and best ways to turn past customers into repeat customers. Not to mention, the cost of acquiring new customers can be up to three times more than the cost of winning repeat business from returning customers.

One of the benefits of a custom “Thank You” email is that it allows you to tailor your content and recommendations specifically to what interests your recipients.

With all of this in mind, we took a deeper look at the custom “Thank You” emails from our friends at the Altria Theater to determine what we could do to improve engagement rates and increase incremental ticket sales.

The Challenge

Engagement rates for the Altria Theater’s “Thank You” emails were solid, however we saw an opportunity to increase click rates and boost sales with an updated, modernized template.

What We Did

  • Redesigned their “Thank You” email template to be better optimized for mobile and branded more consistently with their other channels.
  • Created prominent “call to action” buttons to increase click rates and ultimately conversions.
  • Reduced amount of copy and used compelling images to grab readers’ attention.
